Hire smart people and get out of their way.

Field Marshall. Stage Manager. Conductor. These titles could be used to describe Kathy’s role at J. Schmid. As the General Manager, she oversees finance, traffic (workflow) and developing the J. Schmid team. She works closely with both the Account and Creative teams to map out the most effective plan for your project. Her passion is a smooth-running organization where everyone has an opportunity to shine. She is truly a force behind the scenes.

Prior to J. Schmid, she found opportunities in client services, computer system development, accounting, inventory management and purchasing during her 15-year career at Deluxe Corporation. She joined J. Schmid in 1999 as the Print Production Manager and has advanced into her current role.

With her easy laugh and exacting nature, she has gained a reputation as the “nicest pain in the ass I’ve ever met.”
