Ken's Bio

Ken Lane has been collecting laurels in the direct marketing industry for 25 years—but he’s not resting. He continues to assist organizations achieve their multi-channel marketing plans while simultaneously providing senior analytical support. He brought his considerable expertise to the J. Schmid team in 2009, bolstering the company’s already-renowned reputation in direct marketing strategy and performance.

Mr. Lane has been a Mailorder Gardening Association (MGA) member since 1996. He has held senior-level marketing positions with such respected companies as FAR&WIDE Travel Corporation, Staples, and Geerlings & Wade Personal Wine Service. In 2003 he started his own consulting and marketing agency, Hathaway & Lane Direct.

Ken is often courted for speaking engagements and contributions to industry journals. He is the MGA Mailer's Technical Advisory Committee representative, and while with Staples, received their coveted “In Search of Excellence Award.”
