Garnet Hill, is a leading women's apparel, kids apparel and home décor company that sells nationally through catalogs, direct mail and online. They are part of the Cornerstone Brands portfolio that is a subsidiary of HSN Inc (The Home Shopping Network). As part of a multi-year effort to dramatically increase revenues, Garnet Hill asked J Schmid to tackle two significant strategic initiatives — first, better understand and quantify / size the Garnet Hill marketable universe. And second — better understand and fully define the Garnet Hill brand. For this project, J. Schmid initiated a four-step process focused on key Garnet Hill stakeholders, existing customer data, external customer data and consumer (current and prospective customers) research.
